Friday was just another triumphant Hollywood day for 13-year-old Calgarian Grayson Gurnsey. He’d been cleared to announce he’s been cast in the lead role of a yet-to-be-named YTV comedy series that’ll begin airing in 2015.

“It’s probably one of the most amazing days in my career,” Gurnsey said in a phone interview from Los Angeles.

It’s been a career crammed with highlights since his first appearance in the Calgary-shot film Bad Dads at age 8.

Attracting more eyeballs than anything he’s done so far was a small part in the blockbuster Godzilla.

Barely a teen, he’s already moved from in front of the camera to behind it.
